The tax sector continue cutting down 93 tax branches

According to General Department of Taxation, implementing the scheme of arrangement and consolidation to establish a regional tax branch in 2018-2020, on August 28, the Minister of Finance signed 30 decisions for arranging and merging tax branches at 30 Tax Departments, including: Quang Ninh, Ca Mau, Hau Giang, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Dak Nong, Cao Bang, Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa, Lai Chau, Bac Lieu, North Giang, Binh Dinh, Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Ba Ria - Sau Cai and Dong Nai to merge 176 tax branches to establish 83 regional tax branches. Therefore, the tax sector will continue to cut down 93 tax branches.

Therefore, up to now, the whole tax sectorhas arranged 370 tax branches under 56 tax departments to establish 175 regional tax branches (cutting 195 tax branches).

Until now, 16 tax departments have completed the arrangement and consolidation plan to establish a regional tax branches in 2018-2020 according to the approval plan in the Decision No. 520 of the Ministry of Finance, including: Ben Tre , Binh Phuoc, Ca Mau, Dong Nai, Hai Duong, Hau Giang, Hoa Binh, Kien Giang, Lam Dong, Long An, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Ninh, Son La, Thai Nguyen and Yen Bai.

According to the General Department of Taxation, to carry out the decisions of the Minister of Finance and organise the operation of regional tax branches established in the third period of 2019 to operate on October 7, the General Department of Taxation directed the tax departments to urgently deploy the organisational structure, personnel arrangement; to prepare management data to hand over and arrange "single window" division in the areas that did not have regional tax authorities to ensure the continuation in serving taxpayers.

Besides that, the General Department of Taxation also requested tax departments to report to the Provincial Party Committee and the Municipal Party Committee about the establishment of the Party Committee of Tax Department, including the Party Committee and Party cell of Tax Branches of districts, towns and cities under the guidance of the Central Organizing Committee and Personnel Committee of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the roadmap, by the end of 2019, the entire tax sector must reorganise to cut 201 tax branches. In the months from now to the end of the year, the General Department of Taxation would propose the Ministry of Finance to continue reorganising the tax branches to strive to overfulfill the set plan.
