The Ministry of Finance steps up the work of preventing corruption

VCN – The Central Steering Committee inspection group for preventing corruption (Group 2) had a working session with the Party Civil Affairs Committee of Ministry of Finance, on the work of recovering assets which were appropriated and lost in criminal cases about corruption, economy.

The working group was led by Mr. Vo Van Dung, Central Party Commissioner, Permanent Deputy Director of Central Committee of Internal Affairs, Deputy Head of inspection group.

According to reports at the meeting, the work of anti-corruption has been identified by the Party Civil Affairs Committee and leaders of the Ministry. The Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance has always identified as an important task the thorough implementation of its political missions, contributed positively to the work of anti-corruption for the whole country, especially in the formulation and improvement of institutions, mechanisms, policies, norms and financial management regimes and state budget. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance has advised and assisted the Government, and the Prime Ministe, in leading, directing and managing the state budget and finance, contributing to the fulfillment of the objectives and tasks of socio-economic development in accordance with the decisions of the Party Central Committee and the National Assembly.

Reponding to the report from the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Vo Van Dung highly appreciated the Party Civil Affairs Committee, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance and the authorities, organizations and units of the Ministry of Finance, that are in close coordination with the competent authorities and related authorities in the work of recovering assets which were appropriated and lost in criminal corruption cases, economy, and for ensuring compliance with the provisions of law and the undertakings of the Party Central Committee.

Mr. Vo Van Dung also suggested that in future the Ministry of Finance should continue to advise and propose policies and laws on the handling and recovery of assets for cases of anti-corruption and criminal cases in general.
