According to the General Department of Taxation, till now, the General Department of Taxation and 63 Provincial Tax Offices have had websites providing full tax information for enterprises and people. There are separate 8 services including: Bill of Lading; declaration on the use of charge and fee receipts online; online tax declaration; electronic tax payment; personal income online; tax policy inquiry website; electronic tax returns and anti-counterfeit billing systems at level 3 and level 4.
Currently, the number of enterprises completing electronic tax registration services with banks is 629 thousand enterprises, accounting for 96.56% of the total number of operating enterprises. With 1.2 million e-tax transactions, this service brings the amount paid to the state budget from 1 January 2018 to reach more than VND 187,055 billion.
In addition, from 1 January 2018 to 20 April 2015 the total number of enterprises participating in electronic tax refunds was 3,450 units (reaching 91.51%); The number of applications were 5,745 units (reaching 93.37%). The total number of refunded files was 3,900 with the amount of refunded electronic tax of more than VND 21 trillion.
With the e-invoicing scheme, 219 enterprises have issued electronic tax-code invoices with total revenues of more than VND 63,167 billion. Accordingly, the real tax amount was VND 4,545 billion (from September 2015 to 20 April 2015). Recently, the General Department of Taxation has issued the Decision No. 526 / QD-BTC dated 16 April 2018 of the Ministry of Finance on expanding the pilot application of electronic invoices with the tax code of the tax authorities in Da Nang and other places outside Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Regarding the proposal on electronic tax declaration, payment for house renting and electronic tax payment from house and land transfer (personal income tax and registration fee), till 20 April 2018, there were 34 thousand individuals registering for electronic tax transaction accounts and have 75 thousand electronic tax declarations. In addition, the Tax office is urgently communicating with the relevant units to complete the regulations on coordination and finalization of information technology application to implement electronic tax declaration and payment services for motorcycle and automobile registration fee.
Notably, with the aim of creating the best conditions for taxpayers to well implement the tax Law, the Tax office will expand the eTax system to replace the old one which is providing the business, while adding a number of new features. This is also the premise for the electronic tax system - Single Window to provide all services of electronic tax transactions for taxpayers in the future.
The representative of the General Department of Taxation said that with the eTax system, businesses can access and manage all electronic tax services on a single system instead of having to log in multiple applications as before.

Since December 2017, the system has been implemented for the whole enterprise under the management of the tax authorities in Phu Tho and Bac Ninh province. It is expected in May 2018, the system will be expanded to 13 provinces as follows: Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Hoa Binh, Lai Chau, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Ha Giang, Bac Can, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Yen Bai. Once the eTax system comes into use, businesses will stop using the old electronic tax declaration and payment system.
