The Vietnam Customs Statistics announced that in the second half (16-30/6/2016) of June-2016, Vietnam’s total exports of US dollars was 7.69 billion and imports of US dollars was 7.43 billion resulted in a trade surplus of US dollars 263 million. Accordingly, the total value of export and import turnover of Vietnam in the second half of June was US dollars 15.12 billion, increased by 5.2% (equal to USD 741 million) as compared to the first half of June-2016.
Vietnam‘s trade-in-goods from January to the second half of June of 2016 totaled US dollars 162.57 billion in value terms. It posted an upward of 2.4% (equivalent to USD 3.76 billion) from the same period of previous year.
In the view of Foreign Direct Invested (FDI) traders, the value of exportation and importation in the second half of June reached USD 9.48 billion, went up by 4.3% (equal to 389 USD million) as compared to the first half of June-2016. From January to the second half of June of 2016, the total export and import value of FDI traders posted at USD 104.44 billion, up by 3.6% (equivalent to USD 3.64 billion) from the same period of a year earlier.
When compared with the first half of June-2016, export of second half of May rose by 9.1%, mostly as a result of the upturns registered in following products: textiles and garments (up by USD 118 million); telephone, mobile phone and part thereof (up by USD 90 million); machine, equipment, tools and instruments (up by USD 81 million); …
