The State revenue collected by the Branch was VND 197.5 billion, up 80.4% and increasing 28 new enterprises carrying out procedures compared to the first 3 months of 2018.
According to the leader of Mong Cai Customs Branch, after 3 months of deployment, “the centralized model for Customs procedures and management phase 1” has achieved positive results on Customs procedure and management.
Specifically, reducing from 3 to 1 focal point receiving procedures, thereby, reducing 13 staff at the unit for receiving Customs procedures.
Along with that, enterprises’ shortcomings were removed at 1 focal point; data on Customs clearance was synchronously managed under 1 Customs code which is helping enterprises to carry out import and export procedures quickly and conveniently.
In addition, thanks to the deployment of this new model, enterprises have accessed information, legal documents and guidance from the Customs authority in implementing Customs procedures easier, faster, and more transparently.
In order to implement the phase 2 of the model, Quang Ninh Customs Department, Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch has proposed competent agencies to actively and drastically implement solutions to effectively implement the modern Customs management system, reduce administrative procedures, paper documents, especially manual procedures and shorten goods clearance time.
