VCN – The General Department of Vietnam Customs has issued a document to remove difficulties for local customs units and enterprises in supplementing overdue C/O of 30 days due to coinciding with holidays.

Specifically, the time of lodging documents of origin of import goods will comply with Point c, Clause 1, Article 7 of Circular 38/2018/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance on determining origin of import – export goods and several guidance documents of the General Department of Vietnam Customs (Official Letter 7491/TCHQ-GSQL dated 20/12/2018 and Official Letter 4943/TCHQ-GSQL).
The term "30 days from the date of customs declaration registration" will be calculated in accordance with the schedule.
During a period of "30 days" coinciding with holidays in the process of carrying out customs procedures, the provincial Customs Departments will instruct enterprises to comply with the provisions of Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 38/2018/TT-BTC, which stipulates documents of certificate of origin of imported goods that need to be submitted to customs authorities.
