Financial statement in third quarter, 253 enterprises achieved earnings growth

As of October 31 2019, in the HSX and HNX, there were 556 enterprises announced financial statements in the third quarter of 2019, the capitalisation of these businesses accounted for 92 percent of the total market.

In terms of profit, the third quarter of 2019 it had an increase of 18.76 percent over the same period in 2018. Of that 253/556 enterprises achieved earnings growth over the same period.

Some groups with high earnings growth included insurance (increasing by 49 percent), banking (increasing by 43.17 percent) and food and beverage (increasing by 28 percent). The real estate group also had a relatively good growth rate of 17 percent.

In the first nine months, the total profit of 553 enterprises announced in their reports was 11.66 percent compared to the same period in 2018.

According to Bao Viet Securities Company, this growth also slowed down compared to 2018, while the number of businesses as mention above grew by 29.8 percent in the first nine months of 2018 over the same period in 2017.

In the third quarter of 2019, excluding the group of insurance and financial groups, 530 businesses have already announced their financial statement in the third quarter of 2019. The total revenue of this business group increased by 21.17 percent (from VND 303.3 thousand billion to VND 388.8 thousand billion). This revenue growth was higher than the growth in the third quarter of 2018 (increasing by 12.15 percent) when considering the same enterprise model.

Particularly, 282/530 businesses had revenue growth. The groups with the strongest revenue growth included real estate (increasing by 31.13 percent), retail (increasing by 18.67 percent) and personal goods - household appliances (increasing by 18.67 percent).
