The reason why the revenue in July tends to decrease is the turnover of some items with the big revenue decreased over the previous month, such as: Automobiles falling down by 22.3% in value; gasoline falling down by 9.2% of volume and 14% in value; iron and steel down by 18.5% in volume and 11.3% in value; machinery, tools, accessories down by 7.1% in value, etc, which has an impact on the budget collection of the Customs.

The total import-export value of the country in July reached 29.3 billion USD, down by 0.6% compared to the previous month. In particular, the total value of exports was estimated at 14.7 billion USD, down by 0.2%; the total value of imports was estimated at 14.6 billion USD, down by 1% compared to the previous month.

Accordingly, in the first 7 months of 2016, the total import-export value of Vietnam was estimated at 191.87 billion USD, up by 2.1% yoy in 2015. The trade balance of goods in July, 2016 was an estimated surplus of 100 million USD, promoting the trade surplus of Vietnamese goods in the first 7 months of 2016 to nearly 1.8 billion USD.

The state budget revenue of the Customs in the first 7 months of 2016 is a result of the post-clearance inspection and the control against smuggling and trade fraud. In July, the force of post-clearance inspection of the Customs has carried out 404 cases, actually collected 225.28 billion vnd to the state budget; the anti-smuggling force discovered and seized 9,461 cases, equivalent to 77.5 billion vnd.

In the remaining months of 2016, the Customs will drastically try to complete the assigned target of state budget revenue. Specifically, the General Department of Vietnam Customs requests the units to continue with proposed measures of state budget revenue. The Customs will focus on solutions to prevent losses, such as: fighting losses over quantity, value, code, C / O, application of revenue management, urging and handling.
