Besides, the Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the Ministry of Information and Communication to chair and collaborate with the Ministry of Finance, Maersk Vietnam Company Limited to inspect and clarify the basis and accuracy of information on this case of Saigon Economic Times; the communication agency must be responsible for any violations and inaccurate information under the law.

Through the findings, that the Hai Phong Customs must hold 7 containers of the Maersk Vietnam Company Limited in custody for such a long time is due to these containers contained prohibited goods “toothfish”. The “toothish” in the 7 containers was exhibit of international criminal cases which needed legal assistance from foreign countries, leading to spend a lot of time for settlement

Thus, the Hai Phong Customs acknowledged that the above shipments had illegal signs when transporting to Vietnam (Tan Vu port, Hai Phong), so it needed inspecting and handling under the law and international treaties of Vietnam
