Implementing the action program of Rainfall campaign, Customs forces proactively prevent and stop counterfeit goods and poor quality goods in the field of health.
According to the document of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Public Security, the Interpol Rainfall campaign aimed to help strengthen inter-agency coordination among national agencies (police, customs, health care, pharmaceutical companies) and international cooperation. It helped raise the awareness and understanding of authorities and public about the dangers of counterfeit and poor quality drugs, and investigate and destroy the lines and objects.
The Rainfall campaign is the continuation of the STORM Campaign on the same content that Vietnam has joined with 11 countries in the region from 2008 to 2016.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs requests the provincial Customs Departments and the Risk Management Department to thoroughly understand and direct their units to strictly implement the Rainfall campaign program.
The provincial Customs Departments shall direct the Customs Branch in border areas, for the professional units and the Customs Enforcement Units to strictly implement customs procedures, enhance professional operations, identify the risks of import conditions such as permits, quality standards, food safety, origin, labels, trademarks ... of medicines, cosmetics, supplementary foods, viagra, medicine.
